God-less bus

In January there is going to be a bus advert ran in Manchester, Birmingham and London for about 4 weeks. The advert will say “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life”. I think its a step in some right direction. It most probably will be pretty inconsequential, but the message is good, its ok to be an atheist. I did read that the Archbishop of Canterbury contributed to the cost of the adverts as well, he said he welcomes anything that gets people thinking about God, sounds like he’s just playing mind games to me, trying to out psyche us atheists, well it won’t work Canterbury boy! Times are a changing and there’s no room for God! England is one of the top least religious countries in the world, the least religious country is Sweeden with about 80% atheists.

    hello stephen
There’s probably no god is the same as saying there is probably a god, ‘half full or half empty’.

    Doesn’t that make you think???

No doubt when the bus hits the streets some people will be unhappy and objections will be raised, the media will front page it so even more people will be up in arms, which is exactly the point of the advert.

It will be good for some people as it will help them to forget for a moment all the other worries.

    Hi Ste,

Isn’t this more of Mr Dawkin’s work?

Ive read people are moaning about this and how bad it is blah blah.. Funny though i was at the bus stop last week, and a big banner saying “JESUS SAVES” was plastered across the side of a Stagecoach. No one will complain about that though, as its invisible to most people.

I think this advert offends people because it confirms something perhaps we all think about sometimes (Even the Archbishop of Canterbury i’d guess.), but are to scared to contemplate.

Hey got your email! Will reply this week mate.

    Hope your keeping well.

    Matt!
